Hi, my name is Kinsey Dhoot and I am a Rotarian with the Rotary Club of Three Creeks. I have been connected to Rotary for more than 15 years by being an Interact Club High School Adviser. Currently, I serve on the Rotary club's board as an Club Administration Director. In 2008, I became a RYLArian and became a RYLA counselor the following year in 2009. RYLA is a Rotary Youth Leadership Awards where I learned who I want to become and how I can impact the world. As a high school teacher, I took students internationally for humanitarian service projects 10 times mostly with the Courts for Kids Organization. In 2009, I went on an NID trip (National Immunization Day) trip to Ethiopia and Uganda delivering mosquito nets and Polio vaccinations which was life changing. All these experiences I just shared with you is why I love Rotary!
I have been a Social Studies High School teacher and Interact Club Advisor for the last 15 years. I took off this current school year and started a new business called ATLAS Teens where I created a Resilience Program; teaching resilience and coping strategies for teens to discover their purpose and thrive. My husband and I stay busy with our seven year old and five year old. We love to travel and get out into nature when we can. I love to dance! I chose to do Dancing with the Local Stars because I love service/fundraising projects helping the community and dancing feeds my soul. I don’t have any technical dance training but I love to dance every chance I can get. My husband won me over by taking me to grange halls to dance. My last two years of high school, I created a dance team at Ridgefield High School and still reminisce about how fun I had dancing. The Dancing with the Local Stars experience sounds like so much fun and I want to take-in every moment while I have a blast on that stage! Cheers! |
